10. Nothing but blue skies (Carter Gap to Moore Creek NC)

It is (was) the last day of February and 10th day since I began. For these arbitrary reasons, and so as not to post an excessive quantity of content or especially, write too much about myself, in lieu of a journal entry today, I will instead make a series of other posts.

First is an article on authenticity and attention. This reflection emerged from my decision to publically share this writing. I realized I desired to be authentic but not as a means to attract an audience but rather to give something others might enjoy – and give myself more writing practice. The internet, however, is full of pitfalls for those who begin with good intent.

Second are two poems, one a sort of meditation on a quivering water droplet on the verge of falling and the other a brief consideration of the complexity and universality of looking at the night sky.

I will share a few photos from today’s bright blue skies. Yesterday’s tempest blew out the fog, which opened up the views again.
